Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, melted butter, and powdered sugar. Press mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven.
  4. In another bowl, mix softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  5. Add lemon juice and lemon zest, mixing well.
  6. Spread the lemon cream cheese mixture over the baked crust.
  7. Top with whipped cream and spread evenly.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra tart flavor, increase the amount of lemon juice.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance for convenience.
