  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, eggnog, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the walnuts, if using.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
