  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until thickened.
  5. Add the cheese, stirring until melted. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne.
  6. Combine the cheese sauce with macaroni and bacon. Mix well.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
