  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, mix flour and salt, then gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Press a thumbprint into the center of each ball.
  8. Fill the thumbprint with strawberry jam.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on wire racks.
