A flavorful dish combining sticky Mongolian meatballs with fresh broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, and green onions.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, in a pan, combine honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Cook until thickened.
  6. Steam the broccoli until tender.
  7. Once meatballs are done, coat them with the sauce and serve with broccoli.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the microwave.
