- 1 cup wild rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon sage
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream (optional)
- Place the chicken, wild rice, chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, and sage in the slow cooker.
