A delicious family-friendly recipe for Salmon Sushi Bake that combines the flavors of sushi and baked goodness.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, shredded
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 2 sheets nori, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. Combine the rice and water in a rice cooker, or in a pot on the stove, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cover until done.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Combine this with the cooked rice.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, and green onions.
  6. Spread the sushi rice in a baking dish, then layer the salmon mixture on top.
  7. Sprinkle with nori strips and sesame seeds.
  8. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until heated through.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more sriracha to the salmon mixture.
  • Garnish with additional green onions before serving for extra flavor.
