  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in yogurt for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large pan, melt the butter and sauté the onions until translucent.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Stir in the spices, and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned.
  6. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
  7. Stir in the cream, adjust salt and simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
