  • ½ cup baking soda
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • coarse sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes.
  4. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Once risen, divide the dough into small pieces and shape them into bite-sized pretzel balls.
  6. Prepare a baking soda bath by boiling water and adding baking soda.
  7. Boil each pretzel bite for 30 seconds, then place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
