6 ripe tomatoes
1 ball of fresh mozzarella
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Salt to taste
Freshly cracked pepper to taste
1 baguette, sliced
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Dice the tomatoes and place them in a bowl. Add chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
Bake the bread until golden and crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
Top each toasted slice with the tomato mixture and a slice of mozzarella.
Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese slightly.
Serve warm and enjoy!
