  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  5. In another bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the powdered sugar and chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon the ricotta mixture over the batter in the pan, then pour the remaining batter on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider including orange zest in the ricotta mixture.
  • Serve with whipped cream or fresh berries for a nice touch.
