  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface, knead gently, and roll out.
  6. Cut into biscuits and place on a baking sheet.
  7. In another bowl, season chicken with garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
  8. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, then drizzle with hot honey.
  9. Assemble chicken in between biscuits and brush tops with beaten egg.
  10. Bake biscuits for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate in hot honey for a few hours.
  • Swap out chicken thighs for chicken breasts if preferred.
