Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Thinly slice the potatoes and layer half in a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the potatoes.
  4. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then pour half over the cheese layer.
  5. Add the crumbled turkey bacon on top, then repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cheese, and cream mixture.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

  • For extra flavor, consider adding diced onions to the layers.
  • Use a mix of cheeses for a different taste.
