A comforting dish featuring creamy chicken served over fluffy biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 batch biscuits, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken broth, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  4. Mix in cream, chicken, peas, carrots, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Serve over freshly baked biscuits.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use leftover rotisserie chicken.
  • Can substitute half-and-half for a lighter version.
