A delightful dessert featuring the sweet and tart flavors of cranberries and pears, perfectly baked into crumble bars.

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups diced pears
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine diced pears and cranberries.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  5. Press half of the crumble mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Add the fruit mixture on top of the crust.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture over the fruit.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, add honey to the fruit mixture.
  • Serve warm or chilled, with ice cream if desired.
