A luxurious and indulgent lobster thermidor featuring the rich flavor of turkey bacon for a delightful twist.

  • 2 lobsters
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh tarragon
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the lobsters for about 10 minutes and set aside to cool.
  2. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet until crispy, then crumble it.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the shallots until translucent.
  4. Add heavy cream, parmesan, mustard, tarragon, and cayenne pepper to the skillet.
  5. Stir in egg yolks, mixing well.
  6. Remove meat from the lobster shells and chop it, then combine with the sauce.
  7. Fill lobster shells with the mixture and top with crumbled bacon.
  8. Broil for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For an added flavor, consider adding a splash of sherry to the sauce.
