- 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup potatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup peas, frozen
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add butter and onions. Sauté until onions are translucent.
- Add the carrots, celery, and potatoes. Cook for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the flour and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the chicken broth, shredded chicken, spices, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce to a simmer and add cream and frozen peas. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with turkey bacon.
