A delicious blend of creamy cheese and crispy turkey bacon that elevates traditional scalloped potatoes.

  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar recommended)
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then add flour to create a roux.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until thickened.
  4. Stir in cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until melted.
  5. Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish, followed by half of the cheese sauce and half of the turkey bacon.
  6. Repeat layers ending with cheese sauce on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and the top is golden.
