A creamy and flavorful Cajun Potato Soup that combines the smokiness of turkey bacon with the savory taste of chicken ham.

  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the turkey bacon and cook until crispy.
  2. Add onions and garlic, sautéing until they are translucent.
  3. Stir in the diced potatoes and chicken ham, cooking for a few more minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Use a potato masher to mash some of the potatoes for a creamy texture.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Cajun seasoning, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

  • For extra creaminess, blend a portion of the soup and mix it back in.
