Baked Mac and Cheese is a creamy, indulgent dish with a twist of turkey bacon for added flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil macaroni according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Add flour and stir for about 1 minute until bubbly.
  5. Slowly whisk in milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika; cook until thickened.
  6. Stir in 3 cups of shredded cheddar until melted and creamy.
  7. Combine macaroni and cheese sauce, turkey bacon, salt, and pepper.
  8. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

  • Try adding breadcrumbs on top for extra crunch.
  • Can substitute other cheeses like mozzarella or gouda.
